Thanksgiving Dinner & Talent Show
By Jiwan Joti Kaur
Thanksgiving is quickly approaching. We have the
beginnings of a great talent show planned this year. Pritpal Singh and
band will be playing blue grass music; Darshan Kaur and Daya Singh will entertain us with folk
songs; Sarbjot Singh will wow us on the violin;
Gurumitar Kaur, Sarbjot Kaur, Siri Atma Kaur, Prabhujot Singh and Sarbjot Singh have a special performance in store; and Siri Deva Singh
is going to pair up with a new face on the MC scene. But, we need more
talent shows. Don't be shy! Bring out your magic tricks, dusty instruments,
and skit ideas. It's just for the family and for some laughs and a cozy
time together. Contact Jivan Joti Kaur at 505-753-6241 or jivanjotikaur@gmail.com

Interfaith Event Praising The One!
What an amazing turn out for the "Praising the One" concert on October 23rd! We had over 250 people from many different faiths gather at the ashram to enjoy yoga, music and food. Seventy-five percent of the attendees were guests from Santa Fe and other surrounding communities. The yoga class taught by Pritpal Kaur had over 50 students.
A special thanks goes out to the following people who donated their time in making this event a success: Guru Ditta Singh for the beautiful invitational post card he created; Gurumeet Kaur for the layout and design of the event program; Dharam Singh of Chocolate Maven, for the organization of the event and the delicious food he donated, Ravinder Singh for cooking an amazing langar; Jagat Singh for making the Yogi tea; Sat Jiwan Kaur for the onsite event help, Pritpal Kaur for teaching a great yoga class; and for so many other sevadars who helped create this loving event!
And a big thanks to all the sangat members who attended and supported this event!

Unsung Hero's!
Thank you for your selfless service!
This month we would like to acknowledge and thank the unsung heros that donated their time and energy helping to move Nav Jiwan Kaur into Hari Charn Kaur's home. The Hearts and Hands program was key in getting this project underway and has been doing an amazing job in serving those in need in our community. Thank you Vanessa and Harsangat Kaur (pictured above) and all others that helped make this move a wonderful experience.

The Bliss of Sat Sangat
By Jagat Singh Khalsa
I can still feel the joy, excitement and blessings that pervaded when we celebrated Guru Nanak's birthday, Guru Gaddee Day, Guru Ram Das' Birthday and the Narayan Meditation. It always feels so special, so beautiful when we come together as Sat Sangat to meditate in the evening, whether it be Rehiras or a meditation; whether it be at someone's home or in the Gurdwara.
It is my belief that it makes the ashram come alive. What I remember the Siri Singh Sahib saying, it is so important to share time together with the Sat Sangat, meditating in the early morning (sadhana) and in the evening (Rehiras). It is a part of the teachings of the Gurus which the Siri Singh Sahib tried to instill in us - Sangat and Pangat. Whenever Guru purabs are over I miss this experience.
I would like to encourage anyone who would like to open their home for an evening group event, perhaps on a birthday or other special occasion, to include time for Rehiras, for a meditation or shabad, and a meal. In addition, I would love to offer my services to anyone interested in hosting such an event. If you would like me to help you in preparing your house, cooking a meal or cleaning up afterwards, I am available.
Let us continue this beautiful habit of coming together and sharing the bliss of Sat Sangat!
All blessing in the Divine, Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa, Wahe Guru Ji Ke Fateh!

Sponsored search results can lead to malware
The ads served by Bing and Google along with your search results are linking more and more often to sites trying to infect your machine.
Neither Bing nor Google effectively prescreens these bogus advertisers, so it's up to us to detect and avoid them.
You may recently have used either Google or Microsoft's new Bing search engine to find the popular Malwarebytes Anti-Malware utility. If so, chances are good that the sponsored ads alongside your search results contained links to the very malware that the security tool is designed to remove.
The three largest search sites - Google, Yahoo, and Bing - regularly sell security-related keywords to criminals looking to trick you into downloading and installing fake anti-malware products. The crooks then steal your personal information or hold your system for ransom before letting you remove their malware from your machine.
The search providers have been aware of this for years. To their discredit, they've done little to end the practice, even though it's in their power to do so. The reason? They're making money hand over fist from those sponsored text ads and don't want to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.
Case in point: If you search Bing for "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware" and click on the first link displayed you will end up on a site that installs a rogue antivirus program on your PC. read entire article here >
