Richelle Agustin

Student Intern

Richelle started her internship at ATRC in early October as a requirement while working on her Bachelor's degree in Human Services at the University of Phoenix, Hawaii Campus.

Assistive Technology Resource Centers of Hawaii caught her attention while looking for an office to intern at.  She selected ATRC because she wanted to see what technology could offer those with disabilities in her field of study.

Richelle states that "During my time here at ATRC, I learned many things about different types of technology a person with disabilities can use in their everyday life and struggles with their disability.  I watched them grow in  knowledge about the technology they were using and how much it has helped them was so rewarding for me.  After working at ATRC and getting to meet all these new people, I find working with persons with disabilities of greater interest to me. "

Richelle is also currently employed as a part-time direct support worker at Abilities Unlimited and a server at Big City Diner in Waipio.

We will miss her positive attitude as she took on the challenge of learning new programs.

Larry Tuitau Jr.

Student Intern

ATRC also bids a fond farewell to another excellent student intern from Job Corps Hawaii, Larry Tuitau Jr., this past November.  His strong work ethic and enthusiastic attitude made him a welcome addition to the office.  Larry will be completing his business studies at Job Corps Hawaii in December, with hopes to work as an office clerk.

We wish Larry the best of luck and know that he will be a great asset wherever he finds employment.  We miss you Larry!
