BYUH Students Visit ATRC

         BYUH Students at AT Zone

Thirty-six students from the Social Work Department at Brigham Young University-Hawaii (BYUH) along with Professor Kenneth Galeai visited ATRC's AT Zone. The students had a "hands-on" opportunity to interact with lots of assistive technology (AT) devices and learn about programs provided by ATRC throughout the federal technology program offered in all 50 states and 6 territories!

          BYUH visit to ATRC

For many of the students this was their first exposure to AT and by the end of their visit they departed with a better understanding and awareness of: 1) disability issues 2) assistive technology devices and 3) the impact that  technology has on the lives of persons with disabilities.
