ATRC Welcomes Thuong Than Nguyen | |

ATRC welcomes Thuong Than Nguyen, an asian intern, to our organization. Thuong will be manging information and outreach for ATRC through April 2011. She is an East-West Center Fellow under the Asia Pacific Leadership Program 2010-2011. She has a strong desire to work for a better quality of life for people especially those who are disadvantaged through disability and poverty.
Thuong is a recipient of the Fulbright scholarship, through which she earned her Master's degree in Public Administration from the Harry S. Truman School of Public Affairs, University of Missouri-Columbia.
Over the past five year, she has been working in the development field as a specialist/ program coordinator at the People's Aid Coordinating Committee (PACCOM), Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, a government agency in charge of international nongovernmental organization (INGO) affairs in Vietnam. She administers, coordinates and facilitates humanitarian and development programs/projects and activities tied to INGOs in Vietnam. |
