ATRC Welcomes Thuong Than Nguyen


 
ATRC welcomes Thuong Than Nguyen, an asian intern, to our organization.  Thuong will be manging information and outreach for ATRC through April 2011.  She is an East-West Center Fellow under the Asia Pacific Leadership Program 2010-2011. She has a strong desire to work for a better quality of life for people especially those who are disadvantaged through disability and poverty.
 
Thuong is a recipient of the Fulbright scholarship, through which she earned her Master's degree in Public Administration from the Harry S. Truman School of Public Affairs, University of Missouri-Columbia. 
 
Over the past five year, she has been working in the development field as a specialist/ program coordinator at the People's Aid Coordinating Committee (PACCOM), Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, a government agency in charge of international nongovernmental organization (INGO) affairs in Vietnam. She administers, coordinates and facilitates humanitarian and development programs/projects and activities tied to INGOs in Vietnam.
