Traffic delays expected Thursday
|
Motorists should be aware of some traffic delays Thursday near the intersection of Pacific Park and Aliso Creek Road.
From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the traffic signals at the intersection will be flashing red while work is done to relocate two traffic signal poles as part of the City's Pacific Park and Aliso Creek Road Intersection Project.
The traffic-easing project, which started in July, includes adding right-turn lanes from eastbound Pacific Park onto Aliso Creek Road and northbound Aliso Creek Road onto Pacific Park Drive. The work is part of the City's ongoing effort to maintain its roadway system at a high level of service.
Heavy construction is expected to be finished by the end of the month, weather permitting. Striping and other follow-up work should be done by Labor Day.
For more information about the intersection project, contact the contractor at 909-771-7079 or the Aliso Viejo Public Works Department at 949-425-2530 or pworks@cityofalisoviejo.com.
