City of Aliso Viejo
Local department store teaming up with AV Boys & Girls Club

From August 4-17, shoppers at the JCPenney at Laguna Hills Mall are invited to round-up their purchases to the nearest whole dollar and donate the difference to the Aliso Viejo Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley to support quality after-school programs in the community.

The Boys & Girls Clubs Aliso Viejo Branch has partnered with JCPenney to provide children in need with access to life-enriching after-school programs that will foster their academic, physical and social development.

"The availability of affordable after-school programs continues to be an important community objective in order to meet the needs of working parents," said James Littlejohn, Executive Director of the club. "As customers shop during the back-to-school season, we hope they will keep our mission in mind by rounding-up their purchases to benefit a local cause."

All funds raised from JCPenney's "Round-Up" campaign will make it possible for more local youth to participate in the Boys & Girls Clubs Aliso Viejo Branch's after-school programming - from homework help to just having a positive place to be.
