Donations sought to benefit Age Well Senior Services
|
Age Well Senior Services is seeking donations to help support its Meals on Wheels program that benefits homebound seniors in south Orange County.
Age Well Senior Services, formerly South County Senior Services, provides hot meals, trips to the doctor, care management, falls prevention and adult day services to seniors in need. The City of Aliso Viejo supports the non-profit organization through a Community Assistance Grant.
Last year, the organization's volunteers delivered nearly 500,000 Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors. Age Well Senior Services relies on contributions from caring people to support its operations. Homebound seniors who receive Meals on Wheels are provided with three nutritious meals per day. According to the organization, thanks to volunteer delivery, central kitchen efficiencies and other subsidies, each dollar donated provides one full meal.
Donations, which are tax deductible, in any amount are sought and can be made online by visiting www.MyAgeWell.org and clicking on the "Donate Now" link. In-person donations are also welcome and can be dropped off at 24300 El Toro Road, Building A, Suite 2000 in Laguna Woods. For more information, call 949-855-8033 or visit www.AgeWellSeniorServices.org.
