Enjoy fireworks, pool party on July 4th

The Aliso Viejo Community Association (AVCA) is gearing up for its annual July 4th celebration, a time-honored event featuring fireworks and activities the whole family can enjoy.
The July 4th bash is from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. at Grand Park in Aliso Viejo Town Center. It will feature live entertainment, bounce houses, face painting, carnival games, an apple pie contest, food for purchase and a spectacular fireworks show at dusk.
Grand Avenue will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. from City Lights Drive to Vantis.
Before heading to the spectacular holiday event, be sure to spend the day at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center, where visitors will enjoy 2-for-1 entry, fun-filled free activities, live entertainment and more. The City facility, which is located at 29 Santa Barbara, will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Information is available at www.cityofalisoviejo.com/aquaticcenter.
