Summer fun at local Boys & Girls Clubs

The Aliso Viejo Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley and the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach are offering an array of fun-filled summer programs to benefit local youth. Both clubs service Aliso Viejo, which is celebrating 2010 as the Year of the Youth.

At the Aliso Viejo Boys & Girls Club at Iglesia Park, club members ages 6 to 12 will enjoy a host of art, sports, recreation and technology activities. The club offers fun-filled field trips, sports clinics, tournaments and much more. Youth will also enjoy swimming at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center, which opened for another spectacular season on May 1. The summer program runs June 28 through Sept. 3.
 
All youth must belong to the Boys & Girls Club to participate in the fun-filled summer activities the club offers. Membership is $40 and is valid until Dec. 31. The Aliso Viejo branch is located at 24671 Via Iglesia. For more information, call 949-699-2552.

At the Main Club in Laguna Canyon, young people can participate in nationally recognized fine art programs, learn to play golf or tennis, explore nature through an adventure club, camp or take part in new programs. The club also offers daily activities, field trips and is hosting two exciting camping trips this summer.

Summer Club Camp fees are $100 a week. Field trips vary in price $5-$35. For more information, call 949-494-2535 x105.
