Roving DUI patrols in Aliso Viejo tonight

The "Avoid the 12" DUI Task Force will conduct DUI roving patrols in the cities of Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Hills and Laguna Woods tonight. These multi-city DUI teams will target areas that have a high incidence of DUI-related arrests and collisions.

The goal of the program is to reduce the rate at which motorists are killed or injured in DUI-related collisions. Through implementation of these events, the Orange County Sheriff's Department hopes to significantly reduce deaths, injuries and property damage.

Funding for this program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
