Taco Thursday, April 23 designed to benefit youth

The public can help support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley Aliso Viejo Branch and Laguna Beach Boys & Girls Club on Thursday by grabbing some grub at a local Taco Bell.

Participating Taco Bell restaurants across the nation on April 23 will donate 15 percent of their gross sales to the Taco Bell Foundation for Teens, the company's non-profit organization dedicated to helping young people.

The one-day fundraiser is part of a $5 million annual giving goal that will fund Boys & Girls Clubs of America's national Keystone program. The Keystone program works to combat the growing epidemic of teens dropping out of high school by providing young people with mentorship and leadership opportunities, as well as inspiring college, career and community experiences.

The City of Aliso Viejo supports the Aliso Viejo branch of the Boys & Girls Club at Iglesia Park and the Laguna Beach Boys & Girls Club, which both cater to youth in town.
