Summer has arrived! And with it our new Executive Director, Sharon Taylor. Our galleries are bursting with juicy color and vivid imagination, including a tribute to the beautiful area we live in. And our workshop series (open to the public) continues, offering new techniques in watercolor, creating digital art on your iPad, and practical info on the business of being an artist.

Susan Cook: "Alive"

June 19 - July 14
Reception: Saturday, June 23, 4 - 7 pm
First Friday: Friday, July 6, 5-8pm

Susan Cook's figurative paintings show the diversity of people and subcultures in Ventura -- not necessarily the view from the top but rather Ventura at its core and likely a little beneath that. Her work concentrates on that which surrounds us, the seen and the unseen.
