Greetings!
|
Think Outside the Gift Box
"Imagination is more
important than knowledge." Good ol' Albert Einstein really knew what he was talking
about and if he was living in Ventura today then I'd betcha a nickel he'd be
a Supporting Member of BAA. This quote was returned to me from the
archives of my art education the other night at Bill McEwen's Tuesday Talk with
Donna Granata. The evening was encouraging to say the least! Looking around the
room I witnessed an audience and stage filled with local talent. Just like our
Member Directory or the 2010 Calendar! Purchasing our-one of-a-kind calendar
is giving the gift of 12 months of beautiful art work for your or your loved
ones' walls! The talent on those pages, plus the bonus history of
how these local icons came to be, for $15 is a gratifying way to support our
Annual Student Fundraiser. Can't find THAT in a big box store... promise!
As Larissa hangs her star-studded mosaics at the Buenaventura Gallery, as Linda's photos await a few more
days to deck the walls of the Harbor Village Gallery, as CMH is adorned with
stimulating works to deck your own halls and as Gwenlyn's show of celebration
fills our Discovery Gallery - I can smell the BAA creativity in the crisp
holiday air! So spread the joy of your own local art co-op's imagination
around. Bring you holiday shopping spirit to our exhibits, along with your friends, and
enjoy the talent abundant.
Thank you for your artwork, your support and your IMAGINATION! Think outside
the Gift Box - Enjoy an ART-full Holiday and see you at the Galleries!
