Lois Freeman-Fox's Drawings & Paintings at the Buenaventura Gallery: Reception Saturday, May 30

Lois Freeman Fox
Celebrated Ventura County artist Lois Freeman-Fox's exhibit of digital paintings and drawings runs from May 26th through June 20th at the Buenaventura Gallery.  The words "digital paintings" are two words that intuitively seem as if they don't belong together.  However, Freeman-Fox, an Emmy-awards winning film editor (who was one of the first in the industry to edit films digitally) proves herself at the forefront again with digital paintings that are not only expressive, but tactile as well.
The artist will be present during Ventura's First Friday Gallery Crawl on Friday, June 5.

Celebration of Life Closing Reception
Artist Images Celebration of Life
One year ago, the Breast Center at Community Memorial Hospital joined with the Buenaventura Art Association to kick-off "A Celebration of Life." Co-sponsored by Ribbons of Life Breast Cancer Foundation, local breast cancer survivors were partnered with eleven Buenaventura Art Association artists who were commissioned to create unique and personal artistic impressions associated with the cancer survivors' experiences.
Join us for a special closing reception -- meet the artists and survivors.
The eleven local artists participating in this program are Janet Black, Susan Cook, Lois Freeman-Fox, Jack Halbert, Debi Nowak-Hawkes, Dorothea Heger, Kathy Ikerd, Judy Klement, Lisa Skyheart Marshall, Sarah Willey and Kay Zetlmaier.
Closing Reception: Sunday, May 31 from 11 am to 2 pm.
