The artists and photographers of the
Buenaventura Art Association had a wonderful time
painting and photographing the E. P. Foster House on May 23rd.
We're planning to repeat the event in July.

 The E.P. Foster family residence has been boarded up on N. Ventura Avenue for many years. It is time to pay attention to the need to restore the house. As artists we can have a voice by painting and photographing the house, and displaying our work in an exhibition to be held on September 5, 2009 at the Buenaventura Art Gallery, 700 E. Santa Clara, Ventura, CA 93001.
The exhibit takes place on Foster Day, September 5th. The Fosters generously gifted numerous parks and buildings to the people of Ventura County. On September 5, 1921, on the steps of the first City Hall and E.P. Foster Library building, that E.P. and his wife gave to the city, it was announced that September 5th be dedicated to Ventura County's premiere philanthropists, E.P. Foster and his wife, Orpha Woods Foster.
