Jack Halbert's "Drawings and Paintings" at the Buenaventura Gallery
Jack Halbert's original oil paintings and drawings will be at the Buenaventura Gallery from March 31 through April 26 with an artist reception on Saturday, April 4 from 5-8 pm.
In addition, April 4 is the 55th anniversary celebration of Buenaventura Art Association and there will be a special presentation and an anniversary cake.

Laudine Borges Original Oil Paintings at the Discovery Gallery
Laudine Borges exhibition of original oil paintings will be at the Discovery Gallery from Thursday April 2 to April 29, 2009. There is an opening reception on Friday, April 3 from 5-8 pm. for First Friday's Ventura Gallery Crawl. Borges will also be part of the City of Ventura's Spring Artwalk on April 25 and 26. Meet the Artist on Saturday, April 25 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and Sunday, April 26 from 12-2 pm. (more)

Wana Klasen's "Earthsong" at the Harbor Village Gallery in March
A visual delight of dancers, singers and musicians are celebrating in Wana Klasen's "EARTHSONG" solo show at the Harbor Village Gallery in the beautiful Ventura Harbor Village. This show runs from March 25 to April 27, 2009. Artist Reception is Friday, March 27, 2009 from 5-8 pm. Drums beating, hearts pounding, dancers weaving in and out of paint and canvas are Klasen's world tribe "Earthsong." Her colorful, energetic and imaginative figures suggest our ongoing dance...a dance with ever-changing steps and tempo. (more)

Buenaventua Art Association Workshops
Learn the fine art of printmaking with two Buenaventura Art Association workshops.
The first workshop "Monotype Techniques" is taught by Virginia Furmanski on April 4. FREE for members, $10 non-members. (more)
The second "Basic Printmaking" workshop is taught by Phyllis Doyon on April 17. $70 for members and $80 non-members. (more)

New Exhibit Healing Arts at Community Memorial Hospital

The newest exhibit at Community Memorial Hospital entitled "Healing Arts" is located in the ground floor lobby and corridors.
