The beautifully rendered pastels of Judith Crowe are on exhibit at The Buenaventura Gallery through March 28, 2009.
Artist Reception is Friday, March 6, 2009 from 5 - 8pm during First Fridays Ventura Gallery Crawl.
 
Crowe will be giving a painting demonstration on Saturday, March 28 from 11 - 2 pm.  All are welcome and the event is free.

Which college/university in Ventura County will win Buenaventura Art Association's Emerging Artist Cup?  the first year it was Ventura College, last year it was CSUCI...
Buenaventura Art Association will be giving away over $5,000 in scholarships thanks to our members and sponsors for "Who Got Framed?!" fundraiser; the Jessica and Stanley Prescott Trust; and the Shirley Ransom Scholarship Fund.
Awards Reception is Saturday, March 7 2009 from 5 - 8pm at the Harbor Village Gallery in the beautiful Harbor Village.

Ventura Music Festival Chairs painted by 15 artists.  As part of a fundraiser for the Ventura Music Festival.  Last time they'll be seen together before the auction!

Harbor Village Gallery's first "Fat Tuesday" Mardi Gras Party was a HUGE success!  A parade formed and artists wound their way through the restaurants and shops at the Ventura Harbor Village giving away beads.
Marilyn and Lis each won a free BAA membership for 09/10!

Susan Krieg won first place for her beautiful piece at the Harbor Village Gallery's first Mardi Gras exhibit.  (Susan is on right and BAA's Assistant Gallery Director Emily Thompson on left).
