Volunteer Roundup
Monday, September 21st
5:00 - 7:00 pm at the Art Center
 
Please join the staff for an end of summer cook out (hotdogs & chips).
 
There will be a brief talk about the up coming events and then you will have an opportunity to sign up for volunteer jobs that suit your interests.
 
We need teens and adults who love to cook, bake, bartend, decorate, set up, tear down, etc. You won't want to miss out on all the fun.

Drawing and Sculpture Studio
No Instruction
Mondays
October 5 - November 9
6 week session
7:00-9:30pm
Class Fee $70
Or $15 per session
 
This 6 week session is designed for adult artists to work from the human form without instruction. The fee pays for the model, but bring your own materials. A typical session includes both short and long poses. This program is ideal for those taking other courses and wishing to practice their skills.
 

Funky to Fabulous Furniture

This class is for those who have never picked up a paint brush and those who live with one in their hand. An experience of the creative process mixed with fun and frivolity, this one day workshop proves to be a day well spent with old and new friends alike. So pick your tired and your downtrodden piece of furniture and bring it in for a fabulous makeover!
 
Prep sheets will be mailed to you upon receipt of your paid registration. Class is limited to 10. Bring a sack lunch Beverages will be provided.
 

Bling for Teens and Adults

In this workshop you will explore traditional wire wrapping and forming methods to create your own wearable art! Rings, bracelets, and pendants will be explored using different types of wire. Have beads to share? Bring them for accents!
 

Fused Glass Jewelry

Saturdays, October 17th and 24th    1:00 - 3:00pm
Class Fee $45
Age 12 and up
Maximum 10 students
Materials provided
 
Create wearable one of a kind jewelry using your favorite colors! In this workshop, we will explore color theory, wearable art recommendations, and the glass medium. Each student will create ten pieces of jewelry and transform them into pins or pendants. 
 
 
Jewelry Soldering

Friday, November 13   6-8pm
Class Fee $25
Age 12 and up
Maximum 6 students
Materials provided
 
Explore the basics of soldering using a soldering iron. Soldering iron recommendations will be discussed in detail along with demonstrations. Jump rings and earring basics will be explored as wearable art objects.
