Bradford Prayer Update
May 16, 2010

Greetings!
Tammy and I are coming to Holland for a few days for a series of meetings. While we're in Holland we want to meet with friends and those who have been praying for us.

Our invitation to you!
You are invited to join us at a gathering for our friends and prayer team at the home of Bruce and Margie Johnson, 761 Wintersun Place, Holland, MI 49424 (click here for a map) at 7pm this Tuesday (May 18). We will be updating you on our family and our new church plant. Refreshments will be served. If you live in the Holland area and can join us, please respond to this email to let us know you're coming. We'd love to see you.

Prayer Needs
Last week nearly 5000 letters were sent out to the Rochester community sharing the vision of Great Oaks. We had several first time visitors to or Sunday service today and expect more over the next couple of weeks. Please pray for the Lord to stir in hearts and draw people to this work.

We are also in a crucial time financially. Our funding from the Reformed Church is ending this summer, and our team is not yet large enough to sustain us financially. Part of the reason we are coming to Holland is for fundraising. We'll be holding meetings during the day on Tuesday with pastors and others to share the vision and the opportunity to partner with us. All whom we are meeting with are personal friends, so these will also be an important and valued times to reconnect.

Please pray for the Lord's provision. He has always been faithful, and he will be faithful in this season as we ask in faith.

We hope to see many of you Tuesday night!

Love,
Paul & Tammy

How to Pray

Here's how you can pray for Great Oaks:
  • Pray for the success of our mailings and our new website, that God will draw the people he is calling to be at the foundation of this new church launch.
  • Ask the Lord to add greatly to our numbers so we can be effective in our mission to bring people to Jesus and help them grow strong in him.
  • Ask the Lord to provide the giftings we need to grow a solid Sunday Service and to double the number of home churches from 2 to 4 by the end of summer.
  • Pray for God's financial provision to sustain us until our congregation grows large enough to be self-supporting.
