Great Oaks Interest Meetings Scheduled
Three Meetings Planned at Kensington

You are invited to attend one of our Great Oaks Interest Meetings. Pastor Paul Bradford will share the vision of Great Oaks. We'll have a time for Questions. Coffee, Tea, and Refreshments will be served. If you are already coming to Great Oaks, bring a friend to an interest meeting.

We will be holding three Interest Meetings at Kensington Community Church (1825 E. Square Lake Rd, Troy, MI). The times and locations are:

Sunday, May 3 - 7 to 8 pm  - Room 301
Wednesday, May 6 - 8:15 to 9:00 pm - Room 211
(following New Community Service)
Tuesday, May 12 - 7 to 8 pm - Room 211

The May 12 Interest Meeting will be a special "Village Preview." Our Sunday Village will host the event. We'll include each aspect of a Village in a format especially designed for those coming to learn more about Great Oaks.

To RSVP for one of these Interest Meetings, you may call Paul at 616.886.5500 (mobile phone) or email him at Paul@GreatOaksChurch.com.

Villages Meeting Regularly

At Great Oaks, in addition to Sunday Gatherings, we have "Village Gatherings." Like villages in the past, our Villages are places where everybody knows your name.

Each Village includes 20-40 people. These groups provide a place where we can be honest, grow in faith, and build friendships. Villages meet for fellowship, food, learning, sharing and encouragement. Members of each Village also work together to reach out to others with the love of Christ.

Villages are real communities that share life and work together to bring change to lives and to our community.

We now have a Village meeting regularly on Sunday afternoon and a Village meeting regularly on Thursday afternoons. We are having wonderful times together. Children and Teens are joyfully welcomed at both villages
. Children are encouraged to attend portions of the Village in which they are able to participate.

John Eldredge Coming to Kensington
Great Oaks Attending Together on May 11 at 7 p.m.

Hear bestselling author John Eldredge, speaking on the six stages a man must complete to become who God intended him to be. This evening "for men and the women who love them" is part of John's 15-city tour, and a unique opportunity to meet the author of Wild At Heart and Fathered By God. 90 minutes will include a time of Q&A.

Eldredge is one of my all time favorite writers. He connects with the hearts of men and women alike. So, I want all of us who can to go together and sit together. You'll need to buy tickets. Tickets are available in the Kensington Resource Center for $15 or you may call 248-786-0588 to order by phone.

Our Mission
(Isaiah 61:1-3)

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor... that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display his splendor.
