CAK Phase III - Port Green

CAK International Business Park Sign

With the awarding of $1.8 million in roadway grant funds from the State of Ohio and $1.3 million in Recovery Zone Economic Development Bonds, engineering and design work is currently underway for CAK Phase III - Port Green.  The project includes the extension of Global Gateway north to Greensburg Road and will result in a site that has the potential to create more than 1,000 jobs and generate significant levels of private investment dollars. The Port Green project will add 193 acres of industrially zoned land to the CAK International Business Park which is located in the Airport Industrial Primary Development Area. The Airport Commerce District permits the use of research facilities, laboratories and distribution/warehouse terminals along with a variety of light/clean industrial uses.
Green Initiative
As Kermit the Frog once said, "It's not easy being green."  Little did we know what insight a frog had.  Being green isn't just a fad, but many businesses have seen a benefit to being green - more black in their bottom line.  Tell us what you or your company does to be green and we will share your ideas in a future edition of Business Matters.  Ideas can be shared with Sarah Haring at sharing@cityofgreen.org.
