Need Employee Training and Tools for Surviving 2010?
On Friday, June 4, 2010, from 8 to 10 AM the Portage Lakes Career Center and the Ohio Department of Development will be hosting a free seminar to discuss:

Funding available to offset training costs

Free Web site to post job openings and locate highly qualified workers

National certifications to give employees the core knowledge and skills essential for high performance needed to work in modern manufacturing
This seminar is targeted to human resource managers, company leaders, staff development, business owners, accountants, and CPAs and will be at the Portage Lakes Career Center at 4401 Shriver Road, Uniontown, OH 44685.

Business Basics Seminar
Join the Summit Medina Business Alliance on Wednesday, May 19 from 4 to 6:30 PM for a free seminar to discuss basic fundamentals for those interested in starting their own business or for those who have recently started a business, whether a commercial lease or a home-based operation. Learn about the planning process, initial financial projections, ownership options, review of the required forms, licensing, loan options and additional funding availability. Participants will receive a business plan outline during the session.
The seminar will be held at the Akron Global Business Accelerator
