Greetings!

The City of Green Planning Department would like to inform you about an interesting program if you are considering hiring new employees.  Find out more about the program below.

Project HIRE

On Thursday, March 25, 2010, Summit County Executive Russell Pry and Medina County Commissioner Sharon Ray will kick off the Project HIRE (Hometown Investment in Regional Economies) Event.  Project HIRE is a statewide Workforce Investment Act American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) initiative focused on jobs.

Project HIRE's goal is to bring employers and dislocated workers together in targeted industries.  Ohio Learning Accounts, valued at up to $6,000, can be used to provide short-term classroom training, on-the-job training (OJT), or a combination of both in order for an eligible job seeker to meet an employer's hiring conditions.

The program is open to area business and admission and parking are free but seating is limited to the first 200 participants.  Registration deadline is Monday, March 22.
