City Update
Arlington Road Widening Coming in 2010
Arlington Road/619 SignThe City of Green will be widening Arlington Road from I-77 to September Drive.  Construction will begin in the spring and last two construction seasons.

The construction will transform Arlington Road and make it easier to navigate and ultimately safer to drive.  The scope of the project includes widening Arlington Road to include a dedicated center turn lane, and rerouting Jarvis Road (near I-77 southbound exit ramp) to enter the access road at the Arlington Ridge Plaza traffic light.  Furthermore, the intersection of Arlington Road and SR 619 (East Turkeyfoot Lake Road) will be widened to include four lanes plus a dedicated left and right turn lane north of the intersection; south of the intersection will have four lanes and one dedicated left turn lane; and east and west on SR 619 will include a dedicated right and left turn lane and one through lane.

To keep residents and businesses alike informed about the project's progress, please visit our dedicated Arlington Road project Web site on a regular basis for updates.
Massillon Road Sewer Project
A public sanitary sewer line will be extended from the intersection of Wise and Massillon Roads, south along Massillon Road to just north of Stake Drive.

This project will provide access to public sanitary sewer for residential and business properties with frontage on Massillon Road.  Furthermore, it will also act as a catalyst for future economic growth/redevelopment in the corridor by retaining existing businesses, potentially create additional employment opportunities and improve the overall groundwater quality in the area.

The improvements will be completed via partnerships between the City of Green, the Summit County Department of Development's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, Summit County Department of Environmental Services and private property owners.  Construction is slated to being in the summer of 2010 and will coincide with the Ohio Department of Transportation's Massillon Road Repaving Project.
