 National Marina Day

To Celebrate, YHMS is holding our Annual FREE Vessel Safety Check and
 Continental Breakfast !!
  Saturday, June 12, 9 AM - 1 PM

US Coast Guard AuxiliaryNational Marina Day promotes the role marinas play as gateways to recreational boating. Marinas around the country open their doors to their community as a means of introducing them to the fun and benefits of boating. To celebrate, YHMS is inviting all York area boat owners to bring their boat into York Harbor on Saturday, June 12th for a free vessel safety check and continental breakfast.

This is an easy way to assure your compliance with Coast Guard equipment requirements as well as state, Federal, and local regulations so take advantage of free USCG Vessel Safety Checks (VSC). The VSC will take 20-30 minutes to perform and the boat owner must be present and have a current boat registration. YHMS will provide a complementary continental breakfast at the marina to all who sign up. In addition, a 15% discount will be offered on all safety-related items purchased in the store that day.

Safety CheckVessel Examiners are trained and certified by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.  The examiner will: verify the presence and condition of specific safety equipment required by Federal, state and local regulations; discuss the purpose and value of required and optional marine safety equipment; answer any boating related safety questions you may have; and make recommendations that will help you have a safer boating experience. A 2010 Coast Guard Safety Decal will be awarded if all requirements are met. Learn more about USGC safety checks.

Appointments are Required and will minimize waiting. We want to have enough examiners to cover all who want to participate so please click the link below to register online or, call or email Stacy to schedule your VSC.
