Torah Portion
September 1, 2012
Kee Tetze

Deuterononomy

21:10-25:19

In this portion, Moses expands further on the ethics of humanity.  He teaches us about human decency during war and coping with difficult children.  In addition, God commands us to care for the poor, the widow, and the orphan.  The portion concludes with the declaration to remember the actions of the evil Amalek, making us a community who subscribes to "forgive but never forget."
