Torah Portion January 21, 2012
| Vaeira
(Exodus 6:2-9:35)
God, whose name is further revealed as YHWH, reaffirms the Covenant with Israel and the promise of redemption. Moses and Aaron confront Pharoah with the 10 signs, demanding freedom for Israel, but Pharoah's heart is hardened. Even after the plagues of blood, frogs, lice, insects, pestilence, boils and hail, Pharoah still does not let them go.
