I want to start by sending a big shout out to the amazing volunteers and quilters who made last weekend's quilt show an awesome success! I have gotten lots of positive responses about the show. For those of you who made it to the show, I hope you enjoyed it. For those who missed it, I hope to see you next year on the weekend before Labor Day 2012! |
| Quilts for Wounded Soldiers | |

The Caring Cle Elum Ladies who make the quilts for wounded soldiers had a very successful time at the quilt show. Between quilt raffle ticket sales and donations, they collected over $300, which will be used to mail the quilts to the soldiers. Thank you to all who bought raffle tickets or made a contribution. These ladies can always use your extra fabric, thread, and batting! |

| Little Dresses for Africa | |

Dear customers and friends have been sewing up a storm for the "Little Dresses for Africa" project. One friend (who will remained unnamed, Joanne!) is working toward her target goal of one hundred dresses by September 6; she's already made well over 80!!
Thanks to all of you who are participating. These adorable dresses will brighten the lives of little girls in Africa who deserve at least a pretty dress to wear. |
