2011 Crazy for Quilts Show, "Old Meets New"
August 26 - 28, 2011
Registration forms for this year's quilt show are available at the shop, or click the link below to open the form and print as many as you need. Registrations are due no later than July 1, 2011, but the earlier the better. I will once again choose to limit the show to 250 quilts; registering early will more likely secure your place in the show. Quilts accepted to the show need to be brought to The Crazy Quilt Shop no later than August 12, 2011.
Remember, this quilt show is for fun! No judging, no ribbons, no favorites...just lots of quilts, both old and new--from crazy quilts to art quilts! All ages and skill levels are encouraged to participate.

Quilt Consignment
The crazy-busy time of year is upon The Crazy Quilt Shop. Especially on the weekends many, many non-quilters come to Roslyn, and while here they visit the shop. Having quilts for sale on consignment in the shop is an opportunity for someone who does not quilt to purchase a piece of quilt art made by a local quilter. If you have quilts you would like to consign, please let me know. Give me a call or send me an email at your convenience. |

What's New in the Shop
A few more batiks and some additional "camper" fabric were added to the shelves last month. Twenty bolts of reproduction and shirtings just arrived today as well as 16 new batiks from Island Batiks! Also just in, several new black-and-white prints.
There are more new bright wool kits and samples to see in the shop! Bonnie Lemert and Jean McDonald are doing a wonderful job of providing you with the finished product to see. In addition to kits there is a new stock of brightly colored wools!
I now have in stock six different books by Kaffe Fassett to give you lots of great ideas on how to use his beautiful fabrics. My favorite as of today is Kaffe Fassett's Museum Quilts. |

Free Demo Tuesday, May 24
Back by popular demand!
On Tuesday, May 24, from 11 am to 3 pm, I will once again be demonstrating construction of the "Six-Pack Stack Reversible Fat Quarter Tote." We have beautiful pre-cut six-pack stacks and patterns for these bags in the shop. |

Silk Tie Crazy Quilts
Josie Kalmback, a dear friend of the shop, has shared two silk tie crazy quilts with us. We have been on kind of a silk tie kick around the Crazy Quilt Shop the last few months, and when Josie brought these quilts in, I knew they needed to be displayed! Come in and see them hanging behind the counter...and if you are tempted to make one yourself, I have a large selection of deconstructed repurposed silk ties available for purchase. |
