July 2010 Newsletter
The Crazy Quilt Shop
Roslyn, Washington
Greetings!

The calendar says we are well into summer, but I can't prove it by the current weather!  Here's hoping that the Fourth of July will bring us not only fireworks but summer weather!

Here's the latest news from here.
Gelatin Monoprinting Class
There are just a couple of spaces left in LuAnn Kessi's Gelatin Monoprinting Art Journal Quilt Class.  The class is Saturday, July 17, from 10 am to 4 pm.  Cost is $35 and includes supplies.  If you haven't seen the samples of this process in the shop, please stop by and take a look.
Calling All Quilters
The dates for the second annual Crazy for Quilts Show are quickly approaching.  Be sure you mark your calendars for August 27-29, 2010.

For those of you who would like to enter quilts in the show, please turn in your application form(s) (one for each quilt) no later than July 15, 2010.  After July 15 you will be notified that we have received your application(s).  Quilts for the show need to be at the Crazy Quilt Shop no later than August 15, 2010.

This year's theme is It's a Family Tradition and quilters are encouraged to show quilts made by family members and across generations.  All quilts are welcome, of course!

If you are interested in volunteering during the show, please let me know by stopping by, sending an e-mail, or giving me a call.

Wednesday, July 21, from 6 to 9 pm is the next gathering of the Sew Mates.  You can work on your UFOs this month.  Bring something you have been meaning to finish (or at least work on!) and enjoy the comradarie.  Everyone is welcome!
