AYF takes Miami
As South Beach was heating up with Super Bowl festivities, it got even hotter in North Miami as the American Youth Football (AYF) Naperville Patriots defeated Deion Sanders' Select TRUTH youth football team 46-42 with a titillating fourth quarter that came down to the final second. About you, cheerleader
We have kicked off the 2010 season in Las Vegas with a successful leadership conference with representation from across AYC Nation! We're pleased to announce that we are moving forward with UCA in 2010. AYC is confident that this will enhance our program and help AYC grow in a manner consistent with the philosophies that we believe in. The rules and regulations for 2010 are currently being finalized and will be announced next month. We also have created an AYC "Highlight Video." Click here. Check it out and see all the wonderful things that AYC is. Please share this video with new Cheer Squads looking to join AYC.

Step into Action
Help us "Step into Action" this year by recruiting your local step teams and encouraging them to join AYC. You can help AYC Step it Up by approaching community Boys & Girls Clubs, churches and YMCAs to see if they have Step teams who want to join AYC. We've got posters and other information for you to help recruit teams. Keep your eyes peeled - we will be launching an incentive program for the region that brings on the most Step teams in 2010! If you have any questions or need Step support, please e-mail our Step Coordinator, Diedrea Willis at step@americanyouthfootball.com.

Joe's Presidents Corner
I'm often asked, "What makes American Youth Football different from all the other youth organizations?"
My answer is AYF is a community of exemplary leaders who put the kids first. AYF Leaders have experienced being good coaches and more importantly good parents. Consequently, our administrative leaders in all eight regions make good decisions for our kids. The idea of putting the kids first comes naturally.
Another question I am asked is "would you let your sons and daughters participate in that Association"? I answer, "yes" because our leaders support the four pillars of AYF and all of it's organizations are Academics, Respect, Discipline, and Performance. In 2009, we have had amazing volunteers to help bring these pillars to life - consequently, I would like to announce the 2009 Award Winners.
Congratulations to: - Andy & Linda Vanti
- Steve Miller
- Doug DiFusco
- Tina McCarthy
- New Hampshire Youth Football & Spirit Conference
For 2010, I look forward to continuing this tradition. Thanks for putting kids first.
