AYF becomes a part of
Under Armour
Combine Weekends As part of the 2010 Under Armour Combine Weekends, a new AYF
Combine Clinic will be included for area youth athletes ages 8-13. AYF athletes will be
introduced to Under Armour Combines and the C360 evaluation metric as they
learn the fundamentals and training for Combine drills such as the 20-yard
dash, 20-yard shuttle, Broad Jump and Sit & Reach evaluation. Assessments
for nutrition and mental toughness, part of the C360, will also be included.
The athletes that participate in the Youth Combine will have the
opportunity to learn from both local coaches as well as members of the Under
Armour Combine coaching staff which features former NFL, NCAA and current
Under Armour All-America Football Game coaches.
Each athlete will receive an Under Armour shirt, AYF Player Card and AYF
uniform patch and all 6th and 7th graders who participate will have the opportunity to be nominated for the 2011 Under Armour AYF ALL-Star Game. Visit the website for more information and to register...

2009 Under Armour American Youth Football & Cheer ALL STARS

While the All-Star game is to celebrate the accomplishments of our AYF/AYC athletes who are talented both on the field and in the classroom, the 2010 game proved to be an incredible display of the physical talent and mental toughness by AYF players.
In just two days, players adjusted to new coaches, new teammates, learned new offensive and defensive schemes and played a remarkable game. The final score was 37-26 with the East coming out on top.
The incredible AYC all-star cheer squad wowed the crowd with high-flying skills and taught us what teamwork is all about.
Thank you to all participants, coaches, and the families of our terrific athletes who reminded us all why we can't wait for next season!

 Governor Togiola Inaugurates first season of American Youth Football Samoa
After a lot of hard work by League president Shiloh Pritchard and his team, the first ever youth football program has kicked off in American Samoa.
The Governor threw the ceremonial first pass at the leagues opening day and said this of the new league:
"This is the beginning of something good and this wonderful league is the beginning of something even greater. I see AYFS as the future of American Football for Samoa..."
He went on to offer advice to the players on how they should conduct themselves on and off the field....
"Have lots of fun in this game, but you must play fair, play
by the rules, and play with a striving spirit of being humble when you
win and graceful and cheerful when you do not,' said Governor
Togiola. "Don't ever learn to fight. Learn to play hard,
and knock each other down, but pick each other up, hug, then go back to
your respective teams. That's the spirit of sportsmanship that
builds character, defines good individuals and can make you successful

Academic Achievement Alliance Nominations
AAA Nominations should have been submitted to conference boards by December 15
for verification.
Conferences will need to send all verified nomination forms to AYF by January 30th. Please contact Ebray@americanyouthfootball.com for online submission.
AAA recipients are chosen on the basis of academic achievement as well as extra-
curricular activities and awards. All AAA recipients will receive a certificate to mark
their achievement. A selection of exceptional students will receive a scholarship reward.
