Cardinal Integrate Systems, based in Louisville, KY, began as a small Material Handling Products Company in 1967. The company originally operated under the name of Scholtz Equipment and Sales Company.
In 1984, Scholtz Equipment was purchased by Cardinal Carryor, Inc., a forklift dealer in the Louisville market. Though under one roof, both companies have their own management and sales staffs. After the acquisition, Scholtz Equipment continued to grow into a complete material handling integrator with expertise in service, engineering, design, and project management.
Eventually, the name was changed to Cardinal Integrated Systems in an effort to streamline our marketing efforts and to use a more descriptive name.
Today, Cardinal Integrated's marketing strategy is to align ourselves with the best possible material handling equipment manufacturers in each segment of our industry. As Integrators, we sometimes represent more than one manufacture for a specific product. However, in the case of Pre-engineered Office Systems, we only partner with Starrco. Cardinal Integrated has been a Starrco dealer for over 30 years and we pride ourselves as consistently being one of Starrco's top performers.
We began selling Starrco products by supplying our customers with small shipping offices and structures. Over the years, not only have project sizes and applications increased for modular construction, but unconventional uses have increased as well. Some unusual applications include noise abatement, equipment enclosures, and environmental separation using Starrco components. Part of our sales strategy is to take the prospective customer to another facility and show them a finished product which typically sells itself.
Keith Heustis, President of Cardinal Integrated, has been with the company for 25 years. According to Keith, "the one constant advantage we find in selling Starrco is the opportunity to later provide the same customer additional equipment and services. We enhance our reputation after installing a quality product on time and within budget". Cardinal Integrated employs installation personnel which in many cases gives us better control over the install process as opposed to a sub contract arrangement.
Another great advantage to selling Starrco Offices has been the inroads at other facilities as our decision makers have moved to different plants and companies in today's fluid labor market. "Once a buyer has had the Starrco Experience with Cardinal Integrated Systems, they are likely to contact us on the next material handling project regardless of where they may be employed".
Cardinal Integrated looks forward to the next 30 and we anticipate finding new customers and applications for Starrco products as we continue to change and grow with the industry.
