What Are We Up To This Week? 
 
I am spending a lot of time this week working on an E-Book about the two kinds of dieter. This will be a free E-Book that I will put up on the Internet for people about how becoming a 'choice' dieter creates so much more success than a 'prison sentence' dieter.

Apart from that I will be doing some video for YouTube and of course doing my day job of running an IT function for a leisure company.

On the bowling front I bowled 193! Including 7 strikes! And it was the first time my family had watched me so they now think I am some sort of bowling god, the reality is that the week before I got 72 and therefore I shall not be inviting them again so they keep the belief that I am better than I really am :-)

Greetings!

Good Morning!!

Hope you are really well on this Saturday morning! The weather here in Great Yarmouth is not looking good and I am spending the day in a field watching my son in a football tournament so just looking for my wellies and a big coat!

This week I want to do something different with the article. I got a fantastic E-Mail from Amanda this week asking me what kind of questions I ask people when I am working with them 1-2-1, so on Tuesday night I was working with someone and I wrote them down as I asked them. Therefore, my article this week is a series of questions that if you answer truthfully, and spend some time on, will make you realise why you aren't perhaps creating the success that you really know you want.

Before I leave this week a couple of other little things! You will notice a new section to the left of this which is 'Big Question Of The Week'. This will be a question I will post every week and I hope you will spend time answering. You don't need to write it down or tell anyone the answer, but if you answer these questions and act on those answers, you will find you can quickly change.

Everybody is the expert of themselves, we all know why we overeat, or have overeaten. We all know what our baggage was and is. We all know our problems, concerns and fears but the key thing to realise is that life is a work in progress! Each week you can take a step closer to your goal (or even ten steps!). Of course, it is also crucial to know what your goal is though and to get busy getting there. What do you want to do with the rest of your life?

The final thing is that I am working on some videos! In my new office I have a really big white board and Jo bought me a camcorder for my birthday so decided the two things together mean I can do some YouTube videos about weight management. Therefore watch this space as I will be doing some videos in weeks to come and putting them up on here!

Question Time

The important thing when working with people or working with yourself is to tell the truth. It is very easy to tell when a dieter is kidding themselves and trying to fool me but the reality is until you are truthful about why you got big, why you are struggling etc then you won't move on.

If you can work through these questions and actually tell yourself the truth then you can actually create a plan to change your results. This stuff works! It worked for me and it can work for you, everybody can be slim, everybody! The magic is in you...you just have to believe you can...

OK questions to work through are :-

1. What specifically do you want with your weight? (Not what you don't want)

2. Where are you now in relation to that goal ?

3. What will you see and hear when you have that goal?

4. What will you feel when you have that goal?

5. Do you truly believe you will ever have that goal?

6. What steps do you need to take to get to that goal?

7. How will you know when you have reached your goal?

8. What will getting to goal actually allow you to do?

9. Are you sure you want this?

10. Is this only for you?

11. Are you in charge of the result?

12. Where, when, how and with whom do you want this result?

13. Are there any drawbacks of getting this result?

14. What personal resources do you have that will allow you to achieve this result?

15. Do you know anyone else who has achieved the same goal?

16. What resources did they have that you can use?

17. Imagine you have that goal now, what resources did you use to get that goal?

18. Imagine you have that goal now, what advice can you give yourself now to make the journey as easy as possible?

And the final four questions. Just answer these in your head quickly! Don't get too hung up on them....

19. What will happen if you get your goal?
20. What won't happen if you get your goal?
21. What will happen if you don't get your goal?
22. What won't happen if you don't get your goal?

And relax...

So did you answer them? Or did you just skip through them? Did you print this off and actually sit in a quiet, relaxing place for 10 minutes and just spend some time talking to the real you? The you that knows you are a nice person and deserves to have some great stuff in your life? The one that knows that you are more than just 'overweight' and that actually you have more to do in your life than worry about food all the time?

Change is possible for everyone and everything, in fact you can't stop change happening...if you could then we would have fixed the weather from 2 weeks ago!
