Greetings!
It's hard to believe that today was the last official day of our kids summer vacation! On one hand- Hallelujah, I didn't think I could take it one more day!!! On the other hand- I'm sending my oldest off to first grade, and that's a hard one to swallow. In kindergarten, he was still "my baby." I walked him in every day, left him for only 2 1/2 hours and was there waiting for him at the front door when his teacher walked him out. With first grade, there are so many hours of his little life that I won't be there to experience anymore. Although I have 2 more little boys coming along right behind him, there is something about that first one reaching all those important milestones that is so triumphant, and so emotional all at the same time... good luck with your first day of school. Whichever way you're looking at it!

 NEW FALL SCHEDULE
MONDAY: 10am-5pm
TUESDAY: 1pm-8pm
WEDNESDAY: 10am-5pm*
THURSDAY: 1pm-8pm
FRIDAY: 10am-4pm*
SATURDAY: 9am-1pm
SUNDAY: 9am-noon
*AGE SPECIFIC PLAY TIME: this play session has changed slightly. The restricted times are only 10am-noon, and will only be restricted to kindergarten aged children and under during that time period. All other times are open play for all ages.
Please note that our evening play sessions have changed to Tuesday and Thursday evenings for the fall.

 It's 3:30pm...WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO NOW?
We have an idea...let 'em bounce! Our half price admission time from 3:30-5pm Monday-Thursday is back!! They have all that extra energy after a long day in the classroom. They really need to get it out before they tackle that backpack full of homework and start those projects! Where else can they do that while you relax in a warm spot with a comfortable place to sit, a hot cup of coffee, and wireless Internet for under $4?

PRESCHOOL PLAY & LEARN, Tues/Thurs AM
Beginning on Tuesday, September 22nd, BOTW will have a new addition to our already fantastic lineup of services. Since we'll be closed to the public on Tuesday and Thursday mornings until 1pm, AND we had such an overwhelming response to carry over our summer camps to the fall, we decided to find a happy medium. Introducing: PRESCHOOL PLAY & LEARN Classes. They will be held from 9:30am-12:30pm every Tuesday and Thursday morning, excluding Bend-Lapine school days off. We will follow our popular camp format in that it will be a parent drop-off program that you can sign up in advance for, or call the day of to inquire about availability. Space will be limited to the first 16 participants and will be open to children 2 1/2-PreK as long as they are FULLY potty trained. The classes will be theme based and will provide a variety of learning experiences including children's literature, language arts, science exploration, cultural studies, hands-on arts & crafts, cooking projects, music & movement activities (and of course PRIVATE play time!) These classes are not designed to take the place of an actual academic pre-school program. Classes will be $20/each.
