Greetings!
What an exciting time for Unity of Tustin! If you missed 'the big announcement' last Sunday it was that Dr. Marj Britt will be Senior Minister Emeritus and Rev. Carolyne Mathlin will be Senior Minister as of October 1. Video of the announcement at both services as well as conversation between Marj and Carolyne is posted on youtube (there is also a link from our homepage). A letter from our Board will be sent out soon, once again announcing the shifts. There has been a lot of energy and momentum building in our community that we will begin to see come into manifestation. Our Living Vision, Seeding Destiny design teams made their presentations to the Board in August. The Board will be focusing on all those Divine Ideas, as well as some additional ideas, at the October Board meeting. By the conclusion of Adventure In Faith, we plan on announcing the next steps in this process. Speaking of Adventure in Faith (AIF), it's that time of year again. AIF is an opportunity for all of us to come together as a community. This year we are expanding what community means to include both our physical community and our virtual community. As you attend Sunday services, read this year's book, participate in selfless service and pray with your community, you will notice the energy and teachings building on each other. This is a season of spiritual renewal that promises to change your life. AIF is a distinct and deeply meaningful time of the year. Here's why: - We incorporate an eight-week Sunday talk series based on a specially selected book. This year it is Falling into Grace by Adyashanti. We will have a special book study on Tuesdays from 7 - 9pm hosted by Rev. Carolyne Mathlin and David Nowe.
- We use the colors of the rainbow (the spectrum of light) to build awareness of the levels of consciousness. Some people enjoy wearing the particular color of each Sunday.
- We have special service projects and programs.
- We highlight people and ministries during the Sunday services.
- We share information about the resources needed to maintain our community through selfless service and tithing/giving.
- We invite each person to enter into a financial commitment for the upcoming year as one part of their spiritual practice.
This Sunday the fun begins. We look forward to seeing you at Unity of Tustin for services and all the other wonderful events we have planned.

Inviting Spirit:
Intuitive Guidance on the Spiritual Path
with Carolyn Baker
- Distinguish religious or intellectual paradigms from spiritual guidance
- Discern and learn the characteristics of intuitive messages
- Journal and record as a way of processing the message from spirit
Using prayer, meditation, group discussion and writing exercises, participants will cultivate an awareness of the nature of spiritual communication and incorporate this guidance into their lives.

 We will explore some of the fundamental Unity teachings based on spiritual principle and how they can be applied to your life for greater love, health, and prosperity. Our explorations will be in an environment that is created to awaken your awareness and understanding of spiritual Truth. We will use the following materials: Talks on Truth by Charles Fillmore and Heart-centered Metaphysics by Rev. Paul Hasselbeck.
Both classes can be taken for Spiritual Education and Enrichment credit through Unity Institute.

Annual Clean-Up Day
It's that time again. On Saturday, November 12 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, we'll clean, polish, reorganize, weed, rake and generally spiff up our beautiful campus. A sign-up sheet will be available on the patio on Sundays. Join us for this fun event!!
Community Lunch
Our community will celebrate the culmination of Adventure in Faith 2011 with a special lunch on our grounds. This Celebration of Grace will be opportunity for many members of our community to help serve, clean-up, decorate and organize. Become part of the Celebration of Grace team.
