Do not miss this rare and special performance and workshop by Prajwal Ratna Vajracharya. Prajwal dances Charya Nritya (literally meaning "dance as spiritual discipline") in a state of deep meditative awareness in order to embody the living presence of the compassionate, peaceful, and fierce divinities of the Vajrayana Buddhist pantheon.
Prajwal is an amazing performing artist, and he shares what was once a tradition for Tantric initiates only, danced behind closed doors in Newari temples. He began practicing this movement at age 8 and learned from his dance-guru father. Prajwal won first prize from the King of Nepal as the outstanding classical dancer of his Newar Buddhist tradition. He has also danced all over the world to great acclaim.
On Friday - Charya Nritya Temple Dance of Nepal Performance
Fully costumed and sometimes masked, he dances all the Buddhas, whether male or female, in mesmerizing performances where you feel transported to the Buddha realms, as if seeing the deity yourself. The people who attend will be amazed and appreciative of his mastery of this sacred spiritual practice.
On Saturday - Sacred Healing Movement Workshop
This is a workshop for you to learn and practice the healing movements of this yogic tradition. It is a truly unique opportunity to learn energy movement techniques from a master practitioner.
Please join us in welcoming Prajwal Ratna Vajracharya to Unity of Tustin this Friday and Saturday. It will be a transformational experience you will not want to miss.
