________________________________________________ RALLY FOR REVENUES TO STOP BUDGET CUTS
Tuesday, March 23rd, 2:00 p.m. at the State Capitol
Our state has gone way beyond cutting inefficiencies with the latest round of proposed budget cuts. The most vulnerable among us and those who serve them will be hit the hardest if these decisions go unchallenged:
Doctors and dentists say they will stop taking patients with Medicaid and PeachCare because of fee cuts.
Families that stepped up and adopted children with special needs will lose day care and respite.
Staff cannot keep up with food stamp and Medicaid applications, making families wait and wait. Now, more workers will be cut.
Families caring for people with Alzheimer's will lose services.
PeachCare premiums will go up, causing children to lose coverage.
Revenue options should not be off the table when the well-being of the people you serve is at stake.
We can no longer remain silent. Join us Tuesday, March 23rd at 2:00 p.m. on the Washington Street side of the State Capitol.
Let legislators know that they need to take a balanced approach to the budget crisis -- an approach that includes revenue solutions.
