Spring Home Maintenance Tips
 Below are a few tips to help get you started on your spring maintenance. The lifetime of many systems in your home can be elongated and your overal home safety can be enhanced by following routine maintenance practices. Give some of these a try!
- Clean clothes dryer exhaust duct, damper and space under the dryer to prevent fire hazards.
- Check the shutoff valve at each plumbing fixture to make sure they function.
- Replace your furnace filters.
- Make sure the light bulbs in all fixtures are the correct wattage.
- Check all electrical outlets for loose fitting plugs which are an indication of a worn out receptacle.
- Install safety covers to electrical outlets to prevent the risk of electrical shock.
- Check your roof for damage. Signs include missing, curling, cupping, broken or cracked shingles.
- Inspect and clean dust away from the covers of your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms.
