Furry Friends
Cane & Riley

  Cane & Riley

Meet Cane and Riley.  They belong to our good friends Jeff Adams and Trish Holland.  Although they live in Raleigh, they love spending time in Beaufort.  Cane has found recognition as a Zen sculptor, an unusual career choice for a dog.  Riley's primary interest in life is FOOD or anything which could be food or anything that could possibly be digested. He has a good soul, always mindful and deep in thought. He worries a lot, most likely if he will be able to eat soon.  He and Cane are very loyal, loving, and reliable companions.

Kim Thompson

Kim Thompson
My approach to design is heavily influenced by my life experiences.  While a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree carefully honed a discriminating eye for strong design, it was six earlier years in Japan that formed my true foundation.  At its core is a mindful attentiveness to subtle detail, an abiding reverence for and connection to Nature in all its diversity, and an awareness of the sublime beauty and timeless elegance inherent in simplicity.

I believe wearing objects crafted by hand can offer a way to bring beauty and quiet moments of reflection into our lives everyday - and that is my intention with each piece I make.
EluCook Glass

Emily L U Cook
EluCook Designs was formed by Emily L.U. Cook in 2004. Emily originally hails from Frederick, Maryland and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Delaware.

Since then, her business has grown into her current line of work, focusing on a complete line of fused glass dishware, home decor, glass tiles and jewelry. She loves the intensity of color and clean lines that glass offers and enjoys coming up with new and inventive ways to use it.

EluCook glassware

Each piece is created in fused glass using a kiln. The fusing process typically involves at least two rounds of firings at temperatures of up to 1450 degrees. In between firings, the glass is often ground or sandblasted to give the desired finish.
We hope you enjoyed our newsletter and hope you will come and see us....enjoy the view from our back porch.
