Mahalo wins "BEST" Seafood restaurant for second year in a row!Readers Choice 2009

Earlier this month the Pleasanton Weekly "Readers Choice" awards were announced and Mahalo Grille was voted by the readers as best Seafood restaurant for the second year in a row! Kelly Nanney of Pleasanton told us "I'm not surprised that Mahalo won again, it is not only our favorite restaurant for seafood, but we love their tropical fusion entrées and pupus". San Ramon resident, Richard Matusich added "Mahalo does Sea Bass and Ahi better than any restaurant I've been to and their prawn dishes are simply amazing". The entire team is humbled by this vote of excellence and says "Mahalo" to the 20,000 readers of the Pleasanton Weekly.

Mahalo's Newest Tropical Dessert.......It's a hit!

Executive Chef Josh Payton has taken the classic Italian Tiramis
Tiramisu
u and put a tropical twist to it. Tiramisu is one of the most popular desserts in the world and is made of Savoiardi (lady finger biscuits) dipped in espresso, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks, mascarpone, sugar and topped with cocoa. The phrase "tirami su" literally means "pick me up" or "pull me up" in reference to the effects of the sugar and espresso. Josh has added a bit extra pick me up with the addition of a little coconut and semi-sweet chocolate! Save room for it the next time you come in, you will be happy you did.
