Hi...Mark Pack here...During the post spawn period, top waters are very effective. This is when I use LFT's Fork Frog rigged on a LFT Ultimate 5/0 Swimbait hook with 50# braided line on a Dobyns 736 Champion Series rod. Using a medium steady retrieve, I target grassy areas between spawning flats and main lake points. The bass will be guarding their fry around these grassy areas and stumps. The bass think the frog is feeding on their fry thus making them really aggressive toward topwater baits in the post spawn period.
