Dreams Take Flight Reception March 25, 6:30-9pm Morgan's Wonderland 5223 David Edwards Drive
Artists who created special sculptures add to the ambience of Morgan's Wonderland, the world's first ultra-accessible family fun park designed especially for individuals with special needs. This event showcases artist Doug Roper's 25-foot-tall Taking Flight cast-bronze butterfly sculpture and other creations - kinetic sculptures by Jim LaPaso and handmade bronze sculptures of children by Randolph Rose. www.morganswonderland.com

The San Antonio Neighborhood Film Project Screening March 26, 6pm San Antonio Museum of Art 200 W. Jones Ave.
The Office of Cultural Affairs and the San Antonio Film Commission will announce the winners of The San Antonio Neighborhood Film Project during a screening event. The event will include a reception, followed by a film screening of 15 short films and awards presentation. The Project began as a way to celebrate three new online neighborhood discovery tours; the Westside Murals y Más tour, the Eastside Echoes of the Eastside tour, and the Downtown North River tour. The film competition was open to student, amateur and professional filmmakers to submit films that capture the flavor and authenticity of each neighborhood profiled in the tour. www.sahearts.com

Cruz Ortiz, creative mastermind behind the event, hopes his public art intervention will continue to strengthen the eastside community and show other San Antonians that this part of the city is a dynamic and safe place to live and play. Contemporary Art Month comes to a close with the annual closing party, now christened the CAM Perennial Party! For the event, Kelly O'Connor has curated an exhibition from the Linda Pace Foundation's collection, featuring rarely-seen work by an international group of contemporary artists, including several San Antonio artists.
