Bring your percussion and other marching instruments, and wear a costume! The theme of the parade is the phoenix-like rebirth of Contemporary Art Month, which you are free to interpret for yourself. www.contemporaryartmonth.com
South Pacific TAO: The Martial Art of Drumming
February 28, 7:30pm
Laurie Auditorium, Trinity University
715 Stadium Drive

The stars of TAO live and train at a compound in the mountains of Japan, reaching the highest level of virtuosity only after years of intensive study. However, these performers each bring nontraditional flair to the group by drawing on their diverse backgrounds: one is a hard rock musician, another is a gymnast, and yet another is a composer. They offer a young and vibrantly modern take on a traditional art form. www.artssa.org
