Performed by the Metropolitan Classical Ballet, the performances are accompanied by the San Antonio Symphony Orchestra under the director of Maestro Bernard Rubenstein. The music is by Peter Ilych Tchaikovsky with choreography by Alexander Vetrov, former Principal Dancer, Bolshoi Ballet of Moscow. The production also features the entire company and students from the acclaimed San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet. www.artssa.org

The Office of Cultural Affairs launched three new Cultural Tours. For the December episode of ArtsBeat, Sebastian interviews artists and explores locations on the Downtown North River tour: The Museum Reach section of the river, Brackenridge Park and the Pearl Brewery complex.
AOTMNovember Artist of the Month
DanceThe November Artist of the Month is Carmen "La Chiqui" Linares.

Carmen Linares "La Chiqui", began her dance instruction at age three in her home-town San Juan, Puerto Rico. At age eleven she presented her first Ballet show with choreographies of her own. This achievement earned her a certificate from the Dance Educators of America as a certified Ballet instructor. Later on she became a member of the Ballet de San Juan directed by Ana Garcia. At age sixteen, the government of San Juan, Puerto Rico awarded Chiqui a dance scholarship to continue her dance instruction in Ballet and Classical Spanish dance in Spain.
