Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with StoneMetal Press and honorary host Terry Ybanez de Santiago. Terry will give a gallery talk on her print exhibition Golondrinas Y Calaveras. Vida Nuestra features an altar exhibit and dance performances meant to pay homage to the dearly departed Bertha Almaguer, founder of the Parks and Recreation Department's dance program, created 75 years ago. The Diwali Festival recognizes the victory of good over evil with traditional dance, music and food of India. Cultural program begins at 6 p.m. and ends with a fireworks display at 9 pm. Dia de los Muertos Exhibition and Celebration November 2 - 13 Centro Cultural Aztlan 1800 Fredericksburg Road
Photographs of loved ones grace altars as well as offerings of food and other things associated with Dia de los Muertos. Marigolds, incense, and candles celebrate life. The opening event features food such as pan de muerto and ponche de frutas, as well as dancing and performances by the Urban 15 Carnaval de San Anto. The exhibit opens with a reception for the artists on Monday, November 2, 6 - 8 pm. Altars are on exhibit through November 13. FREE www.sacalaveras.com

Music on the Move: Greece and Rome November 2 San Antonio Museum of Art 200 West Jones Avenue
Musical Offerings features performances in the galleries of the San Antonio Museum of Art. The performances features works for harp, flute, violin, viola and cello based on themes and characters from Greek and Roman mythology. Program selections include Syrinx and Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun by Claude Debussy, Melodié from Orfeo ed Euridice by Christoph Willibald von Gluck, 16th-Century Italian Lute Pieces by various composers, Sonata in G minor Dido Abandoned by Giuseppe Tartini, and Heliades by Philippe Hersant. www.musicalofferings.org
