Culinary Delights Through February 21, 2010 San Antonio Museum of Art 200 West Jones Avenue
Culinary Delights features the photographs of nationally acclaimed photographer David Halliday. Halliday's early photographs are in a traditional format, mostly sepia-toned gelatin silver prints. More recently, he has been exploring digital color photography. Although he has produced many landscape and portrait images, this exhibition focuses on his still life compositions using food, an appropriate subject for an artist who began his career as a chef. The exhibition includes a conversation with David Halliday, Sunday, September 13 at 1pm. www.samuseum.org |

The September Artist of the Month is artist Joan Frederick.
Joan Frederick lives in San Antonio, and is an artist, writer, photographer and Indian art historian. Her current exhibition of work, So Much Art, So Little Time, a 30-Year Restrospective, is located at the Carver Community Cultural Center through September 30, 2009. The exhibit is part of FOTOSEPTIEMBRE USA. One of the many Fall Art Festivals happening across the City.
