Blue Star's opening for the exhibit Lonely Are the Brave and Kevin Patrick McClellan marks the official kick-off event for Contemporary Art Month. The opening event features two new exhibits, a performance by Justin Boyd and Ken Little and his Band Rodeo Ho Ho. Lonely Are the Brave features four San Antonio artists: Jesse Amado, Justin Boyd, Kelly O'Connor, Chris Sauter and curated by Hills Snyder. CAM Opening July 2, 6-9 pm with a performance at 8:30 pm. "The House of Representatives today approved $170-million budgets for the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities in 2010: a 9.7% increase for each over their current $155 million. The vote was 254 to 173 for the Department of the Interior, Environment and Related Agencies budget bill, which includes the two cultural grant-making agencies."
