Luminaria 2009 is San Antonio's second annual celebration featuring more than 40 non-profit organizations and over 1,000 artists and performers representing every major discipline in the arts from dance, theater, poetry readings, and music to painting, sculpture, film, and multi-arts projects.

FREE PARKING on a first-come, first-served basis will be located at Alamodome Parking Lot C, Durango street city parking (across the Federal Building) and St. Mary's Street garage. There will also be free VIA trolley service from the Alamodome to the downtown event.

March Artist of the Month 

MellissaGet to know San Antonio artists! The March artist of the month is actor/director Mellissa Marlowe.
 
Mellissa Marlowe is a performer and director for the theatre, who specializes in bringing new works to the stage and adapting classics for modern audiences.  She has performed in over forty productions in the San Antonio area, and has directed more than twenty plays.
 
Catch Mellissa perform at Luminaria on the Instituto Cultural de Mexico stage at 7:10 pm.
