The 6 piece jazz band includes Al Gomez (Trumpet), Richard Oppenheim (Sax), Aaron Prado (piano), George Prado (bass) and Bettie Ward "Queenie" (vocals) ARTIST STATEMENT: The embroidery series started out 12 years ago as personal work about a lost love.

New director Ortiz seeks to revitalize Guadalupe
San Antonio Express News (1/15/09) 
Patty Ortiz wants to make the community proud of the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center again.
Ortiz has been named executive director of the West Side Latino arts center. Until recently, the San Antonio native was executive director and curator of the Museo de las Américas in Denver.
